“The “Angelo Vassallo, Sindaco Pescatore” Foundation is organizing a march for legality in memory of Mayor Angelo Vassallo on Saturday, September 3, starting at 17:5 p.m., at the Port of Acciaroli, in the hamlet of the Municipality of Pollica. The mayor of the municipality of Pollica, Vassallo, was murdered in a Camorra-style ambush on September 2010, XNUMX in Acciaroli. For that murder, which is being investigated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Salerno and on which the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission has opened a commission of inquiry, nine people have been entered in the register of suspects.
A few days after the killing of the mayor 12 years ago, Angelo's brothers, Dario and Massimo Vassallo, created the Foundation named after the fisherman mayor to ask for truth and justice on the barbaric murder and chaired by their brother Dario. At the end of the press conference, at 18 pm, the march of legality will follow in memory of the fisherman mayor which will see hundreds of people and representatives of institutions from all over Italy, walking in a procession to the place where the first citizen of Pollica was murdered.
