In Capodimonte the World Day of Environmental Education. Guided tour to discover the birds that live in the Royal Forest
Today is the “World Environmental Education Day” declared by the World Environmental Education Congress, starting in 2017, to commemorate the Tbilisi conference organized by UNESCO and UNEP in 1977.
For the occasion, the Museum and Royal Wood of Capodimonte, in collaboration with Euphorbia srl, is organizing a special guided tour that, through the reading of the landscape, analyzes the fauna component present in the Royal Wood and in particular the birds that nest and live here. Exceptional guides are the botanist Salvatore Terrano and the ornithologist Elio Esse. An occasion, they emphasize from the Neapolitan Museum, “not to be missed to recognize the sounds and distinguish the chirps of the different species, understand where and how they live, as well as learn the correct behaviors that the user of the Woods must have to respect the natural habitat of these species and the biodiversity of natural ecosystems”.
The visit starts from the Belvedere at 10 and then continues through the woods to the Fontana di Mezzo (or of the Turtles).
