After a meeting with the managers of public establishments, the Municipal administration published the ordinance with which it places limits on the traditional toasts of December 24 and 31 to avoid public order problems and ensure safety and decorum along the city streets.
The measure prohibits the installation of public address systems on the street, in order to contain gatherings that would end up causing a crisis in vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Limits also on music at full volume inside the premises that have communicated that they are organising events, which will be required to strictly respect the decibel limits imposed by current legislation, while all musical entertainment and catering activities must cease at 18,00:XNUMX pm with the simultaneous closure of the premises.
The ordinance has prohibited the sale, by public establishments, and the consumption on the street, by customers, of glass drinks on the days indicated, while from December 19 to January 8, 2023, the itinerant sale of fireworks and pyrotechnic games in the city will remain prohibited.
“This is an ordinance dictated by common sense – underlined the mayor Vincenzo Cuomo – which aims to reconcile the legitimate needs of local entrepreneurs who have invested in entertainment activities with the sacrosanct right of citizens to experience the holidays in a quiet environment and in a clean city. We have organized extraordinary cleaning services to ensure that after the ritual of the so-called brunches the streets are clean again”.
In addition to the sanctions provided for offenders, the Administration has ordered that premises that do not comply with the provisions on December 24 will be closed on the following 31st.
