With the new year, a new season of events begins at the Matteo and Claudina de Stefano Foundation in Ogliastro Cilento, starting with the Storie al Femminile that will accompany us in the months to come, leading us by the hand to the rediscovery of creativity in pink from the pen of writers of different generations and literary genres who will present their novels or essays, very often set from coast to coast.
Next Saturday, January 28, at 17 pm, will be dedicated to the meeting with Ernesta De Masi, author of the book Letter to my granddaughter in the time of Coronavirus (Casa Editrice il Filo di Arianna, 2021).
Same consolidated formula, which is enriched with a curiosity: the final comment will be entrusted to a mysterious man, different each time, whose identity and point of view we will discover. A collection of memories, between the fears of the present and the uncertainties of the future in a long letter that a grandmother writes to her granddaughter during the quarantine imposed by the health emergency for Covid.
Memories of childhood in the 50s and youth in the 60s and 70s. The fears of today. A situation of great isolation. The pandemic has suddenly made even people who had built a dynamic and lively lifestyle insecure and fragile.
A Physics graduate, De Masi has been a science teacher in middle and high school for forty years. She currently dedicates herself to scientific dissemination and teacher training. Author of numerous scientific publications, she is trying her hand at fiction for the first time. The author will be in conversation with journalist Alfonso Sarno. Free admission.
