His name is Cristian Romano and he is 18 years old, the young man from the San Giovanni a Teduccio neighborhood of Naples, who hit and injured a 39-year-old carabiniere, serving in the Campania Regiment, while trying to evade a roadblock.
The boy was found to be in foster care and in November 2019, at the age of just 16, he ended up in handcuffs on charges of attempted murder: he was the protagonist of the stabbing of the son of a person believed to be linked to the D'Amico Camorra clan during a fight between peers.
Romano, who was found to have no driving license and was not wearing a helmet, was riding his father's scooter, which was regularly insured.
Now we are trying to understand what went on in the young man's head that led him to deliberately invest the carabiniere.
