It was inaugurated today in Napoli the “Solidarity Guesthouse” of the “Casa di Tonia”, dedicated to the memory of Paola Grimaldi, the late president of the Grimaldi Foundation.
The house will host families of children hospitalized or receiving treatment in Neapolitan hospitals, coming from outside the city and in a state of poverty. The inauguration ceremony saw the participation of the Archbishop Emeritus of Naples, Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, who wanted the “Casa di Tonia”, a symbolic work of the Church of Naples, which already hosts a family home for single mothers and manages numerous solidarity projects.
Present at the event were Paola Grimaldi's children, now members of the Grimaldi Foundation, and the board of directors of the Fondazione in Nome della Vita onlus, which manages “Casa di Tonia”, led by president Edoardo Cosenza and vice president Gianmaria Ferrazzano.
An agreement will now be signed with the Santobono-Pausilipon hospital and other pediatric hospitals for the reporting of families in need of accommodation.
