“In De Luca's healthcare system, we know of tragedies like the one that happened last week: a sixty-eight year old man arrived at the Ruggi hospital in Salerno with his own car dies after eight hours while undergoing a CAT scan.
The family has the right to know what happened and therefore I will address a question to the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, to ascertain, regardless of the activity of the judiciary, what happened in those hours".
This was announced by Senator Antonio Iannone, regional commissioner of Fratelli d'Italia in Campania. "There are too many cases of medical malpractice," insists Iannone, "and they are too often linked to the poor organizational conditions in which doctors and health workers in general are forced to work. While the governor only talks about the construction of the new hospital, people are dying in the existing one."
