First hearing today, in the Court of Napoli, of the trial on the serious accident that occurred on July 22, 2021 in Capri, where a local transport bus fell from the provincial road 66, in Marina Grande.
The impact caused the death of the driver, Emanuele Melillo, and the injuries of several passengers. Today, the lawyer Giovanna Cacciapuoti, the legal representative of the Melillo family, presented the civil action of the father, mother, brother and sister of the victim.
The same request was also made by the lawyer Ugo Scognamiglio, the lawyer of Emanuele's partner, Valentina Rocca, and the couple's eleven-year-old daughter. Both lawyers - Cacciapuoti and Scognamigno - asked the preliminary hearing judge Gabriella Logozzo (44th section) to recognize the civil liability of the legal representatives of the ATC (Capri's transport company) and the Metropolitan City of Naples.
Melillo's father and brother and his partner were present in the courtroom. The next hearing has been set for 11:16 a.m. on May 3. On March XNUMX, the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office (deputy prosecutors Maurizio De Marco and Giuseppe Tittaferrante) requested the indictment of three defendants: the doctor to whom the transport company had delegated the health surveillance of the workers, the legal representative of the same company, and an official of the Metropolitan City of Naples.
