Middle school demolished in Caserta: it will be rebuilt

It will be demolished and rebuilt in Caserta the “Ruggiero” middle school, located in via Trento, in the Acquaviva district. This was decided by the Municipal Council, which approved the final project relating to the school

. The demolition and reconstruction project, worth over 2,3 million euros and financed under Pinqua (National Innovative Program for Quality of Living), represents one of the most important works within the regeneration activity of the Acquaviva neighborhood and surrounding areas.

The new school will be characterized by two fundamental elements, modernity and particular attention dedicated to sustainability. From the point of view of environmental impact, in fact, the project is an improvement on the existing one, as it provides for the requalification both in terms of safety and energy efficiency of the building.

Therefore, the school will be equipped with an efficient thermal insulation system and modern systems, also for the purpose of ensuring accessibility. There will be no architectural barriers and guides will be prepared with diversification of covering materials for access by people with disabilities.

The construction of solar panels has also been planned to achieve the production of electricity for the school. Another fundamental element is the construction of a new and modern multipurpose gym, inside which it will be possible to practice different sports and which will allow the entire community of the Acquaviva neighborhood to be able to use a significant space for socializing and aggregation.

“With the approval of this project by the council,” explained the mayor of Caserta, Carlo Marino, “we are adding another important piece to the urban regeneration program of the Acquaviva neighborhood, the most populous in the city, to which we are dedicating great attention.

Thanks to Pinqua, in fact, we are investing 15 million euros to completely change the face of this area of ​​the city, in which we will carry out many interventions that will increase the quality of life. In this case, we are building a new, modern school, with a gym that will become a center of attraction for many young people”.
