Last night, during the territorial control service, the agents of the General Prevention Office, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened in via Domenico Fontana for a report of a theft on a car.
The police officers, arriving on the scene, noticed a person tinkering with the reported car but, at the sight of them, the person fled by getting into another vehicle.
A long chase ensued until, having reached Viale Colli Aminei, the fugitive was caught and, not without difficulty, stopped; furthermore, the operators found in the vehicle various tools suitable for removing tires; finally, they ascertained that the parked car was missing some wheel locking bolts.
ADD, a 40-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, was arrested for attempted aggravated theft and resisting a public official.
