How to get rid of old furniture that is still usable? You can take everything to the nearest recycling center, but if you have an uncivilized mentality, then you can choose to use a sidewalk as a dump.
This is what happened in the last few hours at Vomero, in via Giambattista Ruoppolo, where a resident, who reported the incident to the Green-Sinister Alliance deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, caught a man in the act who was piling up bulky material on the sidewalk and then abandoning it.
“When I warned him and tried to convince him to take everything away, he replied that this is how we do it here,” the whistleblower said. “These people should be reported.”
“We asked Asia to intervene and take away the furniture and reported everything to the Municipal Police,” said Borrelli together with the municipal councilors of Europa Verde Rino Nasti and Luca Bonetti.
“We are very concerned about the direction things are taking. Instead of improving, we are regressing and incivility is becoming an increasingly unhealthy habit. We are not giving up and we will continue to fight it, but the institutions need to intervene in a tough and decisive manner.”
