Yesterday afternoon, the officers of the Sorrento Police Station, during the territorial control service, while passing through Corso Italia Sant'Agnello They were stopped by the manager of a supermarket who said that, shortly before, a man had stolen several food items and fled without paying.
The police, after having viewed the video surveillance images of the shop, tracked down the accused not far from the commercial establishment and, once stopped, found him in possession of 4 bottles of liquor, 12 packs of tuna, 12 packs of chocolates and 4 jars of cream for a total value of 350 euros.
Therefore, a 24-year-old Georgian with a police record, even specific, irregular on the national territory, was arrested for aggravated theft; finally, the goods were returned to the merchant.
