The calendar of cultural and musical events in the Cilento municipalities continues, from 15 to 29 December, which will see the Salerno municipalities of Ascea, Gioi, Orria and Campora at the center of traditional Christmas music with Christmas concerts.
The events, which began in the summer and included musical concerts and entertainment and food and wine tours, are entrusted to the artistic direction of maestro Lillo De Marco, and are part of the project "Autumn Equinox meets the Fiera della Croce di Stio" co-financed by the Complementary Operational Program POC of the Campania Region 2014-2020 - strategic line "
Urban Regeneration, Tourism and Culture Policies”, which involves six Cilento territories, home of the Mediterranean Diet, history, well-being, art and culture of the South, falling within the Cilento Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park, the municipality of San Giovanni a Piro (Leading Body), the municipality of Ascea, the municipality of Campora, the municipality of Gioi, the municipality of Orria and the municipality of Stio.
After the success of the summer and autumn events that saw music as the protagonist, through the creation of a busy calendar of concerts that united Cilento from the mountains to the sea coast, becoming the undisputed protagonist of the culture of the South in the world with art, music, environment, history, culture, local food and wine and ancient traditions, offering citizens and visitors a tourist package for the whole year, through thematic trips with identity events in the symbolic places that for millennia have united the various villages of Cilento to the ancient Fiera della Croce di Stio, the musical events will continue throughout the Christmas period.
The first stop is scheduled for Friday, December 15, at the church of Catona at 19:17 p.m., in the municipality of Ascea, with the Christmas-themed musical concert by the Kiepò group. The second stop will instead involve Sunday, December 21 at 23:20 p.m., at the church of San Nicola, in the municipality of Gioi, with Nicola Napolitano and the choral musical ensemble that will repeat on Saturday, December XNUMX at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. in the church of San Felice in the municipality of Orria, with the Christmas concert.
On Thursday, December 28 at 21.30:29 p.m., the Vienteterra musical group will perform in a concert of popular music that will take place in Piazza Amendola, in the municipality of Campora as part of the oil festival. Closing on Friday, December 19.30 at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the Kiepò with bagpipes, ciaramelle and battenti guitars will be the protagonists of the concert of Christmas traditions in the church of San Giovanni Battista in Cardile.
