The Campania Region has never lowered its guard on Covid. The data from recent periods, which are also added to the seasonal flu epidemic, are recording an increase in infections.
In the city of Naples, daily cases have gone from 250 to 1.200. However, hospital admissions remain below 10 units per day.
The general director of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, Ciro Verdoliva, invited the population not to lower their guard and to follow prevention measures, such as wearing masks in crowded places, washing hands and maintaining physical distancing.
“Today Covid is managed, but we must be careful because danger is always around the corner,” said Verdoliva.
"We are not worried - adds Verdoliva - because we still see that hospital admissions remain below 10 units per day. This is very important, but we always invite the population not to forget what Covid has taught us, that is, non-pharmacological action, perhaps even masks again in crowded places, hand washing, physical distancing when possible.
Above all, when there are people who perhaps have flu-like symptoms, to do a swab to see if they are positive for Covid. Today Covid is managed, governed, even with the drug, but we must be careful because the danger is always around the corner. We must not lower our guard, we must be strong from that experience that suddenly hit us”.
