In Naples, the pedestrian area along Royal Palace, included between Trieste and Trento square and via Vittorio Emanuele III has been cleared of car parking.

By decision of the Municipal Administration, led by Mayor Gaetano Manfredi, 8 new planters have been installed in order to prevent future occupation of the area as a parking lot.

The intervention was carried out this morning with the participation of the Councillor for Municipal Police and Legality, Antonio De Iesu, and the president of Municipality 1, Joanna Mazzone.

The local police officers, under the direction of Major Bruno Capuano, and the teams of Naples Services they collaborated to carry out the operation.

Councillor De Iesu explained that the decision to place the flower boxes to prevent car access is aimed at restoring legality in one of the most prestigious areas of the city of Naples.

The removal of the illegal parking also reflects the directives of the Ministry of Culture, which recommends keeping the space around the Royal Palace free. This intervention aims to allow, from the square, an optimal appreciation of the perspective view of the building.
