Naples – A bar in the historic center of Naples was closed for 15 days by order of the Police Commissioner, following a proposal put forward by the Municipal Police.
The measure, issued by the Operational Office for the Protection of Social Emergencies and Minors of the Judicial Police Unit, stems from an episode that occurred on January 11, when Local Police officers caught the owner of the business serving an alcoholic beverage to a minor, without verifying her identity through an identification document.
The investigation revealed that the young woman, visibly underage due to her physical features, was under 16. On that occasion, the bar manager was reported for serving drinks alcoholic beverages to minors, a crime which led to the adoption of the precautionary measure.
The suspension of activity, carried out today, aims to prevent concrete risks to public order and citizen safety, as underlined by the authorities.
The case highlights the attention of law enforcement in contrasting illicit behaviors that could compromise the protection of the youngest, with a decisive action to ensure compliance with the current regulations.

This is a very serious situation and should be more controlled. Bars need to be careful about who serves alcohol, especially to minors, who are vulnerable and cannot make good decisions. I hope this doesn't happen again.
