NOn Friday morning, the State Police arrested a 24-year-old for aggravated theft in a supermarket in the Arenaccia area.
During a routine territorial control service, the officers noticed a man being chased by another individual outside a commercial establishment on Via Acquaviva.
After a quick intervention, the police stopped the man they were chasing, ascertaining that he had just stolen groceries from an area reserved for the staff.
The thief, a Romanian citizen with a criminal record, was arrested and the stolen goods were returned to the supermarket. The man is awaiting trial with a summary procedure.
