A Castelvenere, in the province of Benevento, there were no “forms”youth patrols” despite recent home burglaries.
The mayor of Castelvenere, during a technical meeting chaired by the prefect of Benevento, Carlo Torlontano, clarified that no youth patrols have been set up to patrol sensitive areas in the country
. The meeting aimed to analyze the trend of predatory crimes, particularly in the municipalities of Airola, Castelvenere and Montesarchio, with a specific focus on recent episodes of home burglaries. The mayor assured that any initiatives will be regulated through a specific memorandum of understanding to be stipulated in the Prefecture.
This protocol provides for the establishment of 'neighborhood watches' with the task of observing and reporting to the police situations of potential danger to public order and safety.
Furthermore, the mayor thanked the police forces for their daily commitment in preventing and combating various forms of crime. The meeting was attended by the police commissioner Giovanni Trabunella, the provincial commander of the Carabinieri Enrico Calandro and the provincial commander of the Guardia di Finanza Eugenio Bua.
