“To ensure the future of the plant Stellantis of Pomigliano d'Arco, we will join in solidarity with the workers and the unions. In collaboration with the Campania Region, we intend to actively participate in all the institutional tables that will be convened". These are the statements of the mayor of Pomigliano d'Arco (Naples), Raffaele Russo, emerged during the meeting held at Palazzo Santa Lucia, on the initiative of the governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca.
During the meeting, union representatives expressed their concerns and indicated the issues to be addressed with the Government. The mayor further announced a meeting at the City Hall on February 15 with the trade unions to discuss the situation.
“The municipal administration of Pomigliano will be at the side of the workers, supporting them in every phase of the struggle together with the unions”, Russo said. In addition, the president of the City Council of Pomigliano, Maurizio Caiazzo, has called a single-issue session for February 20 on the “Stellantis” case.
