Stellantis and the metalworkers' unions are working on a shared operational plan to ensure safety at work, with particular attention to workers of contracting firms.
Following the fatal accident in Pratola Serra, the trade unions Fim, Fiom, Uilm, Fismic and Uglm met with the company to discuss concrete measures to improve the situation.
The goal is to raise awareness among contractors of compliance with workplace safety regulations and to ensure the protection of external workers, who are often more exposed to risks. The parties involved agreed on the importance of acting together and promoting a shared safety culture, in which Stellantis is actively committed.
Several practical proposals were evaluated during the meeting and the table will be reconvened on Monday 18 March to define the conditions of a common operational plan.
The goal is to avoid accidents at work and remove the causes that could contribute to them, considering each tragedy as a defeat for the entire community.
