Prefect Carlo Torlontano led an important meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety in Benevento, focused on recent theft in homes in the municipalities of Airola, Montesarchio and Sant'Agata de' Goti.
The police forces are currently investigating these incidents. During the meeting, attended by the police commissioner, the provincial commanders of the Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza, and the mayors of the municipalities involved, the trend of predatory crimes was discussed, which shows a slight increase in line with the national trend.
Local authorities have presented the countermeasures implemented, including extraordinary territorial control services with the use of specialized units.
The monitoring of video surveillance systems in the three municipalities involved was also analyzed, with the aim of strengthening the security system and ensuring its effective maintenance.
Prefect Torlontano praised the collaboration between local institutions and underlined the importance of citizens' contribution in crime prevention, encouraging the adoption of passive defense measures and the timely reporting of risky situations to the police.
This institutional meeting highlighted the importance of cooperation between the various entities involved in ensuring the safety of local communities and addressing the phenomenon of home burglaries.
