A tragic incident occurred in Mignano Monte Lungo this afternoon, Caserta, where a 68-year-old pensioner lost his life after being crushed by a tree.
The man, who was maintaining private land, was hit by the tree while he was trying to cut it down, causing his instant death.

The 118 paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident and, unfortunately, could only confirm the man's death.
The Carabinieri carried out the necessary investigations, while the body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for further procedures.
