Violent Brawl On EasyJet Flight Naples-Ibiza
An EasyJet flight from Naples Capodichino to Ibiza was the scene of moments of chaos when two women got into a violent fight.
The fight between the two passengers, punctuated by shouting, insults and physical attacks, caused such a disturbance that the intervention of the cabin crew and the police was necessary. This incident occurred shortly before the flight's departure.
The Dispute and the Reaction of Other Passengers
It is not yet clear what caused the fight between the two women. However, the fight became so violent that they began pulling each other's hair and throwing punches at each other. Despite the efforts of other travelers to intervene and separate the women, the situation quickly escalated.
Video Documentation of the Accident
The entire incident was documented on video, presumably recorded with a smartphone by another passenger. The video was later posted online and picked up by various media outlets, including La7 and the Welcome To Favelas website. The clip shows the overhead bins open, as well as a man, apparently another passenger, trying to break up the fight between the two women.
Police Intervention and Impact on Flight
After the situation escalated, the plane's crew called the Polaria, the state police stationed at the airport, to intervene. The two women involved in the fight were removed from the plane. Despite the incident, the plane was only slightly delayed and managed to reach its destination, the island of Ibiza, on time.
EasyJet's Response to the Incident
In response to the incident, an EasyJet representative released a statement to Fanpage.it. The airline confirmed that police intervened on flight EJU4203 from Naples to Ibiza on April 14. They disembarked the two problem passengers, allowing the flight to arrive on time.
The company reiterated the competence of its cabin crew in handling every situation, to ensure that the safety of the flight and passengers is never compromised. However, it said that incidents like these are rare and not tolerated on board its aircraft, considering them as intimidating and aggressive behavior.
