The weapons and masks seized
In prossimità del campo da gioco attrezzato “Villa Giochiamo”, nei pressi di un istituto di credito e adiacente a un supermercato, a poche centinaia di metri dal cuore pulsante del trasporto napoletano in piazza Garibaldi a Naples, dozens of carabinieri are actively engaged in a wide-ranging operation, scanning the area in every corner.
From meter compartments to condominium areas, from attics to manholes, nothing is overlooked. It is precisely during this tight control that, in via Enrico Cosenz, the carabinieri of the operational nucleus of the Napoli Stella company come across a door at number 13.
Inside the stairwell, a discovery that will have a significant impact on the ongoing investigations, aimed at revealing the intricate criminal plots of the area: 3 perfectly functioning semi-automatic pistols with erased serial numbers and 1 blank pistol were found and seized.
In addition, ammunition is found, precisely 758 bullets of various calibers. The list of discoveries does not stop here: 8 packages containing a total of 650 grams of marijuana are also seized.
However, it is the discovery of 9 balaclavas and 5 masks that most aroused the attention of investigators. Among these, 4 masks recall the iconic character of Alan Moore's graphic novel, "V for Vendetta", while another replicates the face of the protagonist of the famous American television series "Breaking Bad".
In addition, several wigs and other disguise material were discovered, suggesting the possibility of a real “mini market” for aspiring robbers or potentially more serious and dangerous scenarios.
The investigations continue: the weapons will be subjected to ballistic tests to determine any links to crimes or other crimes, while the camouflage material will be the subject of in-depth analysis.
