The ashes of the fire that spread throughout the city did the rest. On social media there are many photos and videos posted but also negative comments both towards the arsonists and towards the delays in the extinguishing interventions.

Many people complained about the spread of ash in their homes and that they were unable to sleep because of the acrid smoke that spread across much of the city.

Meanwhile, firefighting operations resumed at dawn today flames with helicopters and the situation seems to be under control. However, the damage is considerable.

During the night, the mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi went to the Camaldoli hill to personally verify that - due to the fire that hit the entire area - there was no imminent danger for the homes and to follow the rescue operations carried out by the Fire Brigade, law enforcement and local police.

The situation appeared to be under control in this sense, pending the completion of the extinguishing activities.
