A shocking attack occurred in the emergency room of San Rocco Hospital in Sessa Aurunca: two doctors and a nurse were injured by a man, a relative of a patient who had died shortly before.
A 45-year-old local man, already known to law enforcement, stormed the emergency room, assaulting and beating medical staff.
The attack occurred suddenly: after learning of his father's death in the hospital, the man forced open the door of the emergency room and attacked the doctors and nurses present, beating them severely.
After the attack, the man left the scene threatening to kill those present.
The Carabinieri of the Company of Sessa Aurunca, led by Captain Russo, intervened promptly and reconstructed the facts.
Thanks to the testimonies and images from the security cameras, the military identified and reported the 45-year-old at large.
Yet another episode of violence
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that healthcare workers at San Rocco Hospital have been attacked.
