A condominium dispute in via Michele Ferraioli ad Acerra ha rischiato di trasformarsi in una strage nella notte. L’intervento tempestivo dei Carabinieri, insieme ai Vigili del Fuoco e al personale del 118, ha evitato il peggio, portando all’arresto di due persone, fratello e sorella, accusati di tentata strage e resistenza aggravata a pubblico ufficiale.
The dispute began over parking issues, but quickly escalated when Elisabetta Tufano, 38, threatened her neighbors. Already known to the police, the woman lost control and, armed with a knife, attacked the Carabinieri who intervened. The officers managed to disarm her and stop her, but the situation was destined to get worse.
Mauro Tufano, the woman's brother, had locked himself in a room on the ground floor of the building, threatening to explode gas cylinders. The man, who had just turned 39 the day before and was already known to the authorities, required a delicate mediation intervention by the Carabinieri. While the Fire Department looked for a way to access the room, the Carabinieri continued to negotiate with the man.
In the end, i Fire fighters they managed to enter through a secondary window, allowing the Carabinieri to burst in and arrest Mauro Tufano. Inside the premises, four gas cylinders were found with the valves open, and the smell of gas was strong. The prompt and effective intervention of the Fire Department allowed the structure to be secured, avoiding a disaster. Elisabetta and Mauro Tufano were transferred to prison, where they will have to answer to the serious charges against them.
