Livio Cavuoto and Alfonso Cecere, secretary and vice provincial secretary of CONAPO, explain that the reasons include the delay in the payment of conventional increases, the failure to hire 654 CNVVF units already authorized, the increase in meal vouchers, the request for a circular for the solidarity transfer of ordinary leave and the increase in night and holiday allowances.
Secretary Livio Cavuoto adds that the strike will involve all the offices of the National Fire Brigade, including those in ports and airports, with particular reference to the offices in the province of Benevento. Despite some progress, such as the 2023 Team Leader competition and promotions, vice secretary Alfonso Cecere emphasizes that there are still many critical issues and delays to be resolved.
The Fire Department, he says, is suffering the consequences, with the pending collection of the last tranche of 165 million intended for increases in allowances for night and holiday work, which remain a quarter of those of the other State Corps.
