An actor, a healthcare manager, a theologian, and a writer are the four protagonists of "Dialogues of the Impossible," a series of meetings that will begin on Friday, July 5th and will run throughout the month of July at the parish of Sant'Anna in Bacoli. This series will offer a series of in-depth interviews exploring future prospects in various fields.

The Guests of the Review

Enzo De Caro, a famous member of Smorfia together with Lello Arena and Massimo Troisi, a well-known actor of theater and television fiction, will be part of the initiative, as well as Professor Giuseppe Longo, General Director of the Policlinico della Federico II in Naples. Adriana Valerio, historian and theologian, and Maurizio De Giovanni, well-known author of the series of Inspector Ricciardi, Bastardi di Pizzofalcone and Mina Settembre will also participate. These protagonists, with very different experiences and skills, will offer a broad panorama of reflections on the future.

The Meetings Program

The event will be held in the beautiful Church of Sant'Anna in Bacoli and will accompany the celebration of the Saint. The meetings will be moderated by Corrado Gabriele, with the participation of the theologian Gennaro Matino, creator of the event. The events will be broadcast live by Radio Napoli Centrale, official media partner of the initiative.

The calendar of meetings begins on Friday, July 5 with Enzo De Caro who will speak on the topic “Folklore for Naples as a synonym of civilization”. Giuseppe Longo will be the protagonist of the second meeting on Friday, July 12, in which he will address the topic of health and ask himself if “it is still the first thing”. Adriana Valerio will speak on Friday, July 19 about “A church of women, what future does it have?”. Finally, on Tuesday, July 23, Maurizio De Giovanni will close the review with a dialogue on: “Naples and the Mediterranean: what prospects?”.

The Objective of the Review

Father Alfonso Farina, one of the organizers, underlined the intent of the event: “We accompany a religious celebration like that of Sant'Anna, deeply felt in Bacoli, with four meetings of words and people. A dialogue that we have defined as impossible because we imagine it ambitious, visionary, projected towards the future, which is the field of the impossible. We have chosen four very different protagonists, with acute sensibilities in their fields, and with them we will take a path of true comparison. Four meetings of words to imagine the future together”.
