LThe Fondazione Polis of the Campania Region, in collaboration with the Campania Coordination of the families of innocent victims of crime, Libera and Fai, is organizing a commemorative event today in honor of Raffaele Granata, an entrepreneur killed sixteen years ago for opposing the extortion demands of the Camorra. The initiative, in addition to remembering Granata, wants to honor all the innocent victims of crimes in the Campania Region.
The ceremony will be divided into four distinct moments. The first appointment is set for 17:00 at the Polis headquarters, in via Raffaele De Cesare, where a personal remembrance of Raffaele Granata will be held. At 17:45, we will move to the 'Stele della Memoria' in via Cesario Console, recently restored, for a brief institutional moment during which the names of all the innocent victims will be remembered.
Later, at 18 pm, in the nearby church of Saint Lucia a Mare, the president of Polis, Don Tonino Palmese, will preside over a Eucharistic liturgy dedicated to the innocent victims of crime. The day will end at 19:30 pm with a convivial moment at the headquarters of the Foundation, where participants will be able to taste the products of the Eva Cooperative, a social enterprise that operates on assets confiscated from organized crime.
