Marisa Laurito, artistic director of the Teatro della Canzone napoletana, has unveiled the first part of the new 2024/2025 season that will take place from October to December. The program, entitled “Live in Napoli”, includes concerts, musical performances, a tribute to Angela Luce, a mini Operetta festival and a series of meetings between literature and music.

Inauguration with a tribute to Peppino di Capri
The new season will open on Friday, October 25 with a special evening dedicated to Peppino di Capri. Numerous artists will participate to celebrate the career of the great interpreter of Italian and Neapolitan song. Confirmed guests include Peppe Barra, Eugenio Bennato, Rosa Chiodo, Tullio De Piscopo, Christian De Sica, Enzo Gragnaniello, Lorenzo Hengeller, Pietra Montecorvino and Lina Sastri. The evening is supported by the Banco di Napoli foundation.
October Schedule
The October program sees Moni Ovadia on stage with “Carta bianca. Palestina” on October 26, and the special concert of the Quartieri Spagnoli Youth Symphony Orchestra on October 27 to celebrate ten years of activity.
Mini Operetta Festival
The mini Operetta festival will open in November with Elena D'Angelo's company. The first of the three titles scheduled will be “Scugnizza” by Mario Pasquale Costa, with a libretto by Neapolitan publisher Carlo Lombardo. The festival will be introduced by a meeting entitled “Italian operetta, a genre in itself” on November 1st.
Tributes and musical performances
The November schedule includes “Un falso incidente” with Isa Danieli and Patrizio Trampetti on November 8, and a tribute to Angela Luce entitled “Senza ipocrisia” on November 15. This will be followed by “La leggenda Morricone” on November 17 and “Nisciuno nasce 'mparato” on November 22. Enzo Gragnaniello and Marisa Laurito will stage “Vasame. L'amore è rivoluzionario” on November 29.
December Concerts
The month of December will see artists such as Mimmo Maglionico & pietrArsa on December 1st, Rondinella on December 6th, and Gianni Fiorellino on December 7th. The grand finale of the season will be entrusted to Ute Lemper with “Time Traveler” on December 14th.
Christmas events
During the Christmas holidays, Peppe Barra will present “La Cantata dei Pastori” from December 20th to Epiphany, accompanied by Lalla Esposito. In addition, the polyphonic choir and instrumental ensemble Neapolis of the classical high school Vittorio Emanuele II – Garibaldi of Naples will hold the Christmas Concert on December 22nd.
Milestones Review
A new feature this season is the Pietre Miliari review, in collaboration with the Premio Napoli foundation. The meetings will combine literature and music, with monthly events featuring Maurizio de Giovanni and Marco Zurzolo on November 24, and Fabio Stassi followed by Antonio Fresa on December 13.
Season tickets and tickets
Two types of season tickets will be available: one for four musical performances (starting at €75) and the other for six concerts (starting at €105). Season tickets are on sale at the theater box office, authorized pre-sales and online at AzzurroService.net.
