On July 4, 2024, the vibrant continues Salerno Dance Festival, an event that will take place until July 31st at the picturesque Garden of Olives of Ascea. Organized by CDTM – Circuito Campano della Danza and recognized by MiC, the festival is supported by the Campania Region and offers performances by renowned international companies, located in breathtaking natural settings.
After the International Opening
After an initial phase of the festival that saw the participation of companies from Poland, France and Italy, in close collaboration with the “Desiderio” Project of the Campania Regional Museums Directorate, the program continues with new performances by three Italian companies on 6 and 7 July.
Saturday 6th July: Arabesque Association in “Stravaganza”
On Saturday, July 6, the Arabesque Association of Naples presents “Stravaganza,” a sublime work by Fernando Suels Mendoza performed by Roberta De Rosa. Active for thirty years, the association uses this performance to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of the individual. The dance aims to explore originality and authenticity, going beyond the boundaries of normality and embracing freedom of expression.
Sunday 7th July: Adarte and Déjà Donné
Il 7 luglio, il Giardino degli Ulivi sarà il palcoscenico di una doppia esibizione straordinaria. Prima, la Compagnia Adarte dalla Toscana presenta “Perdutamente,” un breve ma intenso spettacolo di 18 minuti coreografato da Paola Vezzosi e interpretato da Lorenzo Di Rocco e Jennifer Lavinia Rosati. Il tema si ispira all’love epico di Giulietta e Romeo. A seguire, la Compagnia milanese Déjà Donné eseguirà “Mandibola,” una coreografia di Virginia Spallarossa ispirata al pugilato come metafora della lotta per la sopravvivenza, rappresentando la resistenza umana attraverso la fisicità del pugilato.
