It happened this night in the small town of frignano, in the Caserta area, where the Carabinieri of the local station intervened following a request for help received from the Operations Centre of the Aversa Company, through the emergency number "112".
Some neighbors, awakened by the crying of a little girl and the screams of her parents, alerted the police, worried about the tense situation that had arisen within the family unit where a violent argument was taking place.
Arriving on site a few minutes later, the military found a bare-chested man in the street who, extremely agitated, was shouting incomprehensible words at his home where the crying of a little girl could be heard.
When they entered the house they found the little girl in tears, pointing to a locked door and calling her mother sobbing.
After a few moments the man also returned to the house and, regardless of his daughter's condition, began to shout offensive words and death threats towards his wife who, scared and seriously concerned for her own safety, had locked herself in one of the rooms. of the house.
The military's attempt to restore calm within the home was not easy.
After having reassured the four-year-old girl, they invited her mother to open the door but, immediately afterwards, her husband lashed out at her, making it necessary for the intervention of a second patrol from the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Aversa Company, which she thus managed to block the 37-year-old and calm things down.
Only at that moment did the 43-year-old wife manage to hug her little girl again and tell the police that the violent argument, which arose from trivial reasons, had begun during the evening and that she, seriously worried for her own safety and that of their daughter, had even sought refuge in a nearby house, but then returned to her apartment.
In order to guarantee the tranquility of the mother and the little girl, still shaken and upset by the incident, the soldiers accompanied them in the early morning today to the Carabinieri station of San Marcellino, where the woman formalized the complaint against her husband .
The man, taken to the Frignano police station, after the formalities, was arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority at the Santa Maria Capua Vertere district house. He will have to answer for mistreatment in the family.
