Coast Guard seizes 15 illegal beach resorts in Salerno

During targeted checks, it emerged that as many as 15 bathing facilities illegally occupied over 4.000 square meters of State-owned area maritime, without the necessary authorizations and paying concession fees significantly lower than the actual value.

One million euros of revenue stolen from the legal economy

The operation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Salerno, led to the criminal seizure of large areas, illegal structures, umbrellas and sunbeds, thus interrupting a turnover estimated at around one million euros for the 2024 summer season alone.

Areas vacated and those responsible reported

The beaches were immediately cleared of furniture bathing abusive, returning them to the free use of citizens.

The 15 people responsible for the violations were reported to the Judicial Authority to answer for environmental, landscape, urban planning and anti-navigation crimes.

Fight against illegality along the Campania coast

This operation is part of a broader plan to control the coastal territory of Campania, conducted by the Naval Air Operations Department of Naples.
