Canale 21 will broadcast live two of the most heartfelt and anticipated religious events: on Thursday 19 September the Miracle of San Gennaro and on Sunday 6 October the Supplication to the Madonna of Pompeii.
The two ancient rites attract the attention of millions of faithful throughout the world, evoking prayers and spiritual, social and cultural reflections.
The first appointment is set for Thursday 19 September, when the Miracle of San Gennaro, the liquefaction of the Blood of the Patron Saint of Naples and Campania, kept in two precious ampoules in the Treasury Chapel of the Cathedral.
The broadcasts will begin at 6:15 with VG Mattina. Starting at 8:55 the ceremony will be broadcast live: from the prayers to the extraction of the vials, up to the Holy Mass presided over by the Archbishop Mons. Domenico Battaglia, culminating with the anticipation of the waving of white handkerchiefs announcing the miracle.
Live broadcast of the Holy Mass from the sanctuary of Pompeii on October 6
On Sunday 6 October, from 10:00, Channel 21 will broadcast the Holy Mass and the Mass live from the Sanctuary of Pompeii. Supplication to the Blessed Virgin of the Holy Rosary. Blessed Bartolo Longo called this moment “the hour of the world”, and it is one of the historical events broadcast by the station, strongly desired by the founder Andrea Turin.
This universal prayer is an appeal for peace and charity towards the poorest and most needy.
“The pride of Channel 21 – says the publisher Paul Turin – is to be able to broadcast live two such important and solemn events. We offer everyone the opportunity to share an experience of faith and solidarity that demonstrates love for our land and our community”.
From Monday to Saturday, Channel 21 broadcasts the Holy Mass live every morning at 7:30 during the VG Mattina. The commentary of the events will be curated by Peppe Iannicelli, with comments from Anthony Salamander. The VG21 news program, directed by Gianni Ambrosino, will dedicate extensive services and special links to these two important events.
