For the first time in its 93-year history, theAmerigo Vespucci hosted a board of directors.
This morning, on board the famous sailing ship of the Italian Navy docked in the port of Singapore, the 25th stop of its tour world championship that began in July 2023, the board of RINA met, the company born from the Italian Naval Registry and established itself as a leader in the consultancy and certification sector.
Councilors and executives sat in the prestigious official panel room for an extraordinary meeting, surrounded by parchments and historical relics. “It was a unique, breathtaking emotion,” commented President Ugo Salerno and the general manager Carlo Luzzatto.
The meeting, which lasted about two hours, was preceded by a guided tour of the sailing ship for the members of the Board, accompanied by the commander of the Vespucci, Captain Giuseppe Lai. “At the beginning of the council I admit I felt a strong emotion, to the point of struggling to speak,” Luzzatto said.
“What we had just seen and the sense of dedication felt by the entire crew made this boarding special and unrepeatable.”
