Today the Carabinieri of the Station of Castellammare of Stabia have executed a custodial order in prison, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Torre Annunziata at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, against a 47-year-old from Castellammare, seriously suspected of the crime of aggravated theft.
The order was served on the suspect, currently detained for another proceeding at the Naples Poggioreale Prison, as he is suspected of having committed a series of thefts using the same modus operandi.
According to the investigations conducted, the man allegedly broke into at least 8 garages, located in different areas of Castellammare di Stabia, including the area near his home, between May 12 and June 3, 2024. During these thefts, he allegedly stole 2 electric bicycles, 4 mountain bikes, motorcycle helmets and various food items.
In at least two episodes, the suspect allegedly forced access to the relevant areas of two condominiums, tampering with the garage shutter opening system, using a fire extinguisher. The investigations, coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, benefited from the analysis of video surveillance images.
