The race to the Ariston will begin on Tuesday 12 November, in five weekly appointments with Alessandro Cattelan in the late evening on Rai 2 (but also on Radio2 and RaiPlay), to discover the finalists who on 18 December, on Rai 1, will compete for 4 places for the Sanremo Festival, in the New Proposals category.
The 24 young artists will have to show off their best weapons to convince the Musical Commission composed of Ema Stokholma, Carolina Rey, Manola Moslehi, Enrico Cremonesi and Daniele Battaglia (together with Carlo Conti and Claudio Fasulo, off-air judges), to then conquer the semi-final on December 12, again hosted by Cattelan on Rai 10 (and simulcast on Rai Radio2, with commentary by Giulia Nannini, Julian Borghesan and Giorgiana Cristalli).
Finally, the 6 most voted (plus 2 artists from the “Sanremo Area”) will land at the Teatro del Casinò in Sanremo for the final on 18 December and from there on to the Ariston and Sanremo 2025. “The new musical panorama proposed at Sanremo Giovani is very varied, ranging from singer-songwriter music to pop, from rap to new sounds”, explains Carlo Conti.
“We listened to so many songs, so much beautiful music and never banal lyrics, in many cases even on significant themes. In each competitor we discovered interesting stories, dreams, hopes, and above all so much energy; some will amaze the public both for the music and for the content.
From very young guys you don’t expect such artistic maturity – continues Conti – instead they are already ready and aware of their own strength, knowing how to hold the stage very well. The Commission has favored above all the artists, not only the song presented in the competition.
The hope is that the twenty-four selected will truly have a long and exciting artistic journey, just as the many who have participated in the selections so far will soon have the opportunity to successfully demonstrate their worth”.
