The Juvenile Review Court of Naples today decided to release an 18-year-old from Benevento, previously subjected to the measure of staying at home. The young woman had been accused of stalking, personal injury and threats, crimes aggravated by the concurrence of persons.
The decision comes after the defense, represented by lawyers Vittorio Fucci and Daniela Martino, together with Dr. Giuseppe Vittorio Fucci, presented convincing arguments. The 18-year-old, a minor at the time of the events, was suspected of having orchestrated a series of stalking acts against a 17-year-old peer, motivated by jealousy over the betrayal of her 20-year-old brother, with whom the victim allegedly had a relationship.
According to the prosecution, the victim had suffered such harassment that she felt forced to change her lifestyle, even to the point of abandoning her studies. The persecution had materialized in numerous episodes of physical violence, documented by medical reports.
Initially, the young woman had been confined to the “Il Sole” Community-Residence for Minors in Airola, following a precautionary custody order. However, during the preliminary hearing, the judge for preliminary investigations had already accepted the defense's request for the suspect's return home.
Today, the Court of Appeal not only confirmed the release, but also revoked the measure of staying at home, leaving the young woman only with a few minor prescriptions. The decision marks a significant turning point in the case, placing the 18-year-old in total freedom.

The court's decision appears to have been made after careful consideration of the facts. It is important that justice be fair, but there are always consequences for actions committed, even if the young woman has now been released.
