With the Christmas holidays approaching, a period in which the greatest number of accidents occur, sometimes fatal, which unfortunately involve children more frequently, caused by the habit of lighting firecrackers and fireworks, even illegal ones, the National Association of Fire fightersIn concert with the Arzano White Helmets led by Colonel Biagio Chiariello, he began an awareness-raising activity in school buildings.
The theme concerns prevention against the risk of prohibited fireworks by starting an awareness and information campaign aimed especially at the youngest, but not only. The experts will illustrate to the students the dangers deriving from the careless handling of fireworks, as well as from the use of illegal fireworks, through videos made for the occasion and showing them informational material.
When using fireworks, one must never forget the rules imposed by law and those suggested by common sense, given that the most serious accidents almost always derive from the reckless use of illegal products and, above all, that it is very dangerous to handle unexploded fireworks.
The initiative is also part of the dissemination of the culture of legality in the territory where the education centers are located. Together the white helmets and the Fire Brigade for a synergic synergy and collaboration.

It is important that the kids learn to respect the rules about fireworks, but I don't know if these meetings are effective enough. We hope they will lead to a decrease in accidents, but more effort is needed from everyone.
