Un Expert court-appointed confirmed their concerns, defining the levels of decibel measured as “terrifying”.
According to the expert's report, the noise levels in the square far exceed the limits allowed by law. Measurements conducted in recent years have shown that numerous events, from small gatherings to organized parties, have consistently exceeded the tolerable thresholds.

“The situation is unsustainable,” the expert said. “Despite municipal ordinances, there is no effective control. Even during major demonstrations or fireworks, you don’t see any officers keeping watch.”
The report also highlights how the conformation of the square, with its narrow streets and tall buildings, amplifies the noise, creating an echo effect that makes the situation even more unbearable for residents.
The residents, tired of this situation, are now asking for compensation for the inconvenience suffered and are calling for more severe measures from the Municipality to limit the noise. This new lawsuit is in addition to the one already won by the residents of Piazza Bellini, who obtained compensation for the same reason.
