An episode that occurred along the State Road 90 of Puglia, in the Serralonga area, could have turned into a tragedy Ariano Irpino: a woman, driving her Fiat Panda 4×4, was grazed by a rifle shot, probably fired during a hunting trip hunting to the wild boar, which hit his car.
Irene, this is the woman's name, was driving along the road towards Martiri, coming from Camporeale, when the shot came from the vegetation above the roadway. The bullet broke the rear window of the car and lodged in the upper part of the backrest of the rear seat, driver's side. An impact that could have been fatal, especially if there had been a passenger in the back seats.
After the terrible scare, Irene got back on the road and stopped at a garage to understand the nature of the accident. It was there that the bullet was found, a hunting ammunition used for rifled guns, a type of weapon not common for this type of activity.
The woman subsequently went to the Carabinieri station in Ariano Irpino, where he handed over the bullet and filed a complaint against unknown persons. The police have launched an investigation to reconstruct the incident and identify the person responsible for the shot. According to initial hypotheses, the shot was fired during a wild boar hunt, in broad daylight. However, the person who pulled the trigger, realizing his mistake, preferred to disappear without helping the woman or taking responsibility.

Reading this article makes me think that safety measures during hunting should be more severe. It is unacceptable that a person can be hit in this way, especially on a public road.
