Luca Trapanese, well-known writer and councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Naples, will be present in the Sala Polifunzionale of San Lorenzo Maggiore on Thursday, February 27 at 18.30:XNUMX p.m. to present his book “Nata per Te. Storia di Alba raccontata fra noi”. The event is part of the series of meetings “Fragments of hope, stories and reflections of stories”.

An expected meeting

The interview with Luca Trapanese will be conducted by Rai author Gabriele Di Marzo. This event follows the success of the first meeting of the series, which featured actor Mirko Frezza. The story of Trapanese and his daughter Alba, adopted in 2017 despite the difficulties related to Down syndrome, has captured national attention. Trapanese was the first single Italian, openly gay and a practicing Catholic, to complete a legal adoption.

Activities and social commitment

Strongly committed to the social sector, Luca coordinates economic development projects in India and founded the non-profit organization “A ruota libera”. This organization is a point of reference for families with disabled people, manages a community for orphans and disabled children, a school for the recovery of ancient crafts and a family home for children with serious pathologies. Tonight, participants will be able to interact directly with Trapanese, asking questions and sharing reflections. The events of the “Frammenti di speranza” cycle are supported by various associations and by the Parish of San Lorenzo Martire, with the patronage of the Municipality of San Lorenzo Maggiore.

  1. Luca Trapanese is a very interesting writer and his book seems to have a beautiful story. But I don't know if his presence at this event will really bring about a change. Down syndrome is a difficult thing, but people need to be more informed about these issues.
