A 58-year-old man living in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, in the province of Avellino, is hospitalized in critical condition after falling from the top floor of his home late yesterday afternoon.
According to the reconstruction by the Carabinieri who intervened on the scene, the accident occurred while the 58-year-old was trying to reach the attic using a ladder, when he lost his balance, slipped and fell heavily.
Immediate aid was provided: the man was rushed to the hospital by ambulance "Muscats" of Avellino, where he underwent a delicate surgical operation in the neurosurgery department.
After the operation, his condition immediately appeared critical, so much so that he was transferred to the intensive care unit, where doctors are constantly monitoring his health. The Carabinieri investigations are continuing to clarify further details on the dynamics of the incident.
