The children of Battipaglia primary school embark on a mind-blowing cinematic adventure, transforming boring lessons into an explosion of creativity and breathtaking images, with a short film that promises to shake the foundations of traditional education.
A Project That Rocks Classrooms
The initiative “Cinema… che passione” is a coup de theatre in the school world, promoted by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education, and supported by partners such as Giffoni and the Sophia association. These students from the Istituto Comprensivo Statale “Guglielmo Marconi” in Battipaglia have challenged the classic rules, diving into the audiovisual language to decipher reality, sharpen a sharp critical sense and throw their personal point of view in the world's face.
Behind the Scenes of a Rebel Lab
Led by Giffoni experts like Giuseppe Novellino and Francesco Petrone, the little ones in the first classes literally played with cameras and montages, analyzing short films and experimenting with tricks from professional directors. The result? A short film boldly focused on inclusion, which shouts messages of empathy and respect for differences, putting children at the center of a creative explosion where learning and fun mix in a scandalously engaging way.
"Our institute has always believed in the educational value of cinema and audiovisual language – explains the school principal Giacomina Capuano – for this reason we are proud to have taken part in such a stimulating and educational project. Through images it is possible to address even complex issues with immediacy and involvement, and help the little ones to express themselves, to understand and to relate to others".
The highlight will be Tuesday, May 13 at Teatro Bertoni at 18 p.m., with a screening open to families and communities that promises to reveal how these young talents are reversing the rules of storytelling through cinema.
