Naples – A 58-year-old man, already known to the police, was arrested by the State Police after being found in possession of a significant quantity of drugs hidden between his home and a car in his possession.
The operation was conducted yesterday afternoon by officers from the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station, with the support of the canine unit of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office of the Naples Police Headquarters.
During the house search, thanks to the drug-sniffing dog's nose, 32 packages of hashish (25 grams), 35 doses of cocaine (110 grams), 285 euros in cash, precision scales and packaging material were found.
The check continued on a vehicle attributable to the 58-year-old, where 14 blocks of hashish were discovered for a total weight of about 1,4 kg and two other scales. The man was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics.
Also yesterday, the agents, with the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Department and the Police Local, they carried out an extraordinary service in the San Giovanni a Teduccio and Barra neighborhoods: 87 people were identified, 20 of whom had previous convictions, 47 vehicles were checked and two subjects were subjected to restrictive measures.
