The Campania Region has allocated €7 million to municipalities affected by the seismic swarm in the Phlegraean Fields.

The Campania Regional Council's 2nd Committee on Budget and Finance, State Property, and Heritage has approved a bill allocating €7 million to the municipalities of Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Monte di Procida, and Naples, affected by the earthquake swarm that struck the Campi Flegrei area on July 31, 2026.

The proposal, approved by a majority vote with the minority abstention, calls for the allocation of funds from the regional government surplus. The bill, which aims to support local governments during the emergency, will be submitted to the Campania Legislative Assembly in the extraordinary session convened by President Massimiliano Manfredi for tomorrow, August 27, starting at 3:00 PM. Discussion will continue until all items on the agenda are exhausted.

Representatives of the Civil Protection Agency, such as Councilor Fiorella Zabatta, also participated in the approval, demonstrating the importance of the intervention in an area particularly vulnerable from a geological and seismic perspective.
