Boscoreale, patrolled by the Carabinieri: 3 people reported, 13 Covid fines.
The Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata Company, together with those of the Campania Regiment and the Sarno Dog Unit, carried out a territorial control service ordered by the Provincial Command of Naples in the city of Boscoreale and in the surrounding municipalities.
Numerous checks were carried out in places with the highest concentration of people and the highest traffic.
In Boscoreale, a 24-year-old and a 37-year-old, already known to the police, were reported for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. The man and the woman were hiding 8 packages containing 10,5g of hashish and 2 packages containing 5g of cocaine in their home.
In Poggiomarino, following a road check, a 42-year-old foreigner with no criminal record was reported for receiving stolen goods after being caught driving a car with license plates that had been stolen last September.
During a series of reinforced checkpoints, 147 people and 76 vehicles were checked. 1 person was reported to the Prefect as a drug user, as he was caught in possession of doses of marijuana for personal use. During checks on compliance with the Highway Code, 4 fines were issued, with 2 vehicles seized for lack of insurance coverage and 1 license revoked. Failure to use seat belts was the most frequently detected violation.
Finally, specific attention was also paid to verifying compliance with the current anti-Covid regulations, with 13 fines imposed on as many individuals checked outside their municipality of residence, without proven reasons of necessity, work or health.
