There are forty-four provinces where schools should be closed due to the high number of infections.
An analysis by Youtrend shows that twenty-four provinces have exceeded the threshold of 250 per 100 inhabitants that requires school closures and another 20 provinces are at risk. The data is based on those of the Civil Protection, but "the decisions - it is specified - will then be taken on the basis of those of the ISS". If the closure of schools will be at the provincial level as seems likely at the moment, according to YouTrend estimates there are currently 24 provinces in which the weekly threshold of infections that requires closure is exceeded: Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Chieti, Como, Forlì, Frosinone, Imperia, Macerata, Mantua, Modena, Monza and Brianza, Pescara, Pistoia, Ravenna, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Salerno, Siena, Trento, Udine, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola.
To these Provinces must then be added the Regions of Basilicata and Molise, which as mentioned are in the red zone and will therefore see the automatic closure of schools regardless of the infection threshold. Then there are 20 other provinces that have between 200 and 250 cases per 100.000 inhabitants and are therefore very close to the risk of closure: Arezzo, Ascoli Piceno, Caserta, Cremona, Cuneo, Ferrara, Gorizia, Lecco, Lucca, Massa-Carrara, Milan , Naples, Parma, Pavia, Perugia, Prato, Taranto, Turin, Varese, Vercelli.
