Checkmate for the drug lords in the area between Giugliano and Marano: almost 200 kilograms of drugs seized, 9 weapons, 650 thousand euros: 5 arrests.
The State Police and the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, as part of joint anti-drug initiative activities, have arrested, between Giugliano in Campania and Marano, 5 individuals suspected, on various counts, of possession of narcotics and weapons for the purpose of dealing.
Seized in the complex by Flying Squad and from the GICO of Naples 150 kilograms of cocaine, 46 kilograms of hashish, 9 pistols with relative ammunition, tools for packaging the narcotic substance and over 650.000 euros in cash.
More specifically, two of those arrested, Luca Cammarota and Luca Alvino, were caught in the garage of the home of a third accomplice, Pasquale Politelli, while they were loading 100 blocks of cocaine for a total weight of approximately 105 kg into compartments created in the spare wheel well of two cars.

The search carried out at the home of a fourth associate, Francesco Ferrara, then brought to light, hidden under the floor of his garage, a trap door with an opening controlled by a hydraulic system, inside which another 47 blocks of cocaine were discovered and seized, for a total weight of approximately 43 kg.
The simultaneous search of the property of a fifth member of the organization, Mario Allegretti, led to the discovery of 46 kg of hashish, 2 kg of cocaine, 6 semi-automatic pistols and related ammunition, 3 revolvers with erased serial numbers, 12 magazines, 543 rounds of ammunition for handguns, numerous molds for affixing brands to drug packaging, a press and other tools for packaging drugs.
In this case too, the “material” was found inside a compartment created in a hidden hatch under the garage floor and accessible via a hydraulic controlled opening system.

During the searches, a similar false bottom was found inside the car of a sixth individual which, together with other evidence, led to his being charged with the same crimes.
Finally, the search of the home of a seventh member, carried out with the help of the Naples Fire Brigade, also brought to light a "hidden" system hidden under the floor of the basement, which gave access to a trap door to the inside which 62 cellophane wrappers containing banknotes of various denominations were found and seized, for a total sum of 650.690 euros, as well as 2 "banknote counting" machines.
